Now, it's easy to just say "Oh, well that's America, we all know that those guys are pretty extreme. We don't have the same problems here...." But it's a fact that the USA leads the way in many things and we follow along quite happily. Consumption of poor quality food is no different, but it's a crying shame in a country that promotes a clean, green, natural image. Not every thing in this infographic is bang on, it has the usual phobic statements about fat and saturated fat, but it's still an interesting read. Take from it what you wish...

At least 58% of those surveyed are on the right track in saying that "Poor eating habits" are why Americans are fat; but I'd bet that their ideas of Good Eating Habits are probably still going to make them fat (i.e. the conventional wisdom food pyramid biased towards breads, cereals, rice & pasta)
I'm starting to subscribe to the idea that physical activity/exercise has little impact on why we get fat and reducing weight - so last row in the infographic on exertion and exercise bugs me as it simply fuels the Conventional Wisdom fad that exercising helps lose weight.
(Having said that, exercising is still good for you)
