Joe McPhee, a member of our Coach Development Program, keeping his burpees well above mediocrity, by jumping to a target on every rep.
I was working with a private client last week on wallballs, and once he got the hang of the movement, he started throwing every rep OVER the 12 foot line, despite only needing to go to the 11 foot line.
His explanation? "Why settle for mediocrity...."
Good advice.
Good client.
He'll get the results he deserves.
When I talk to people at our Saturday free trials, I mention how in my past life as a globo gym employee, the most common answer from a new member in response to the question, "What are your goals?", was, "I just want to get a bit fitter...."
....a BIT fitter.......?
How very average and unexciting and mediocre......... :)
Our slogan at CFNZ is "Forging ELITE Fitness".
It doesn't say Forging GOOD Fitness, or Forging OK Fitness.
Why settle for mediocrity?
