Congrats to Mitchell McClenaghan, on his selection for the Auckland Aces cricket team. Mitch is the brother of CFNZ intern, Tate, and it was through Tate that Mitch first came to train with us. We had a quick word with Mitch about his experience of CrossFit NZ so far.
How did you get into CrossFit?
Through coming down and watching my little brother - Cuddles (aka Tate) compete and found it exciting to watch and it motivated me to want to go work out - so eventually came down and gave it a go in a free beginners class on a Saturday morning - loved it ever since and have been training with CFNZ for 3 months now.
Tell us a little bit about your injuries and if you think functional training and proper attention to movement has helped.

Yes, we've tidied up the website a bit. But, it's not a new site, not yet anyway. We're not going to make any more promises about it coming soon though, because we never seem to follow through on them!
Had an interesting conversation with another CrossFit owner about websites a while back, and he reckoned that the messier and more difficult it was to navigate, and thus the more effort a potential new member had to exert to find out how to get started, the more likely they were to be a hard worker and the right kind of fit for the community. Thoughts?
