Summer is just under 5 months away. Now that we're in deepest darkest winter, do you find yourself making poor food and exercise choices, and rationalising them with the whole 'it doesn't matter, I can hide under a few extra layers of clothing', or 'I need the comfort foods because winter is horrible and I'm miserable', and 'I have plenty of time to reverse it all when spring rolls around, yeah, I'll just wait for the CFNZ Spring cLEAN challenge and then I'll sort my s$#t out.....'
Those are dangerous words people! It's so easy to get sucked into hot carbs and smooth sugary concoctions to help the short cold days, and long dark nights pass by. But now more than ever you should be working hard to stay on track. Find a buddy to text with and hold each other accountable to make it to training. Search out new recipes to give your tired old menu a boost, and motivate you to cook. Cook smart, and create leftovers to use for extra healthy meals and keep you from getting trapped without good food choices.
Workout
Front Squat 5 x 3
- after 1st set perform Max time Hanging L-sit
- after 2nd set perform max rep strict HSPU
- after 3rd set perform max rep ring dips
Then,
3 rounds of:
10 Front Squats 60/40kg
10 2-for-1 burpees
