Aaron McIllwee has been with us for over 2 years now, and his friendly nature and big heart have become a strong part of our community. As he grew as an athlete, he also started to realise how rewarding it is to help others grow in the same way, and so next month, Aaron will be taking that next big step as a CrossFit coach and opening his own affiliate, with Carolina Dillen, also a part of the CFNZ crew. We wish them both all the very best at CrossFit East Auckland, and look forward to visiting for a workout soon!
But now we have to introduce Joe McPhee. Joe drives all the way from out west every morning for the 540am class, and now he's going to be shadowing our coaches, and no doubt bringing his experience in the Navy to bear on our future recruits......
Inov8 195's and New Balance Minimus
It was a free intro. Rowing, squats and push ups I think. I really enjoyed it. Couldn't wait to sign up.
Probably Naan bread with a Rogan Josh..... No rice though.......
Heavy Rock, AC/DC to Wolfmother
My work ethic and attention to detail have developed the most. Along with the passion to get back into training / helping people.... My last two years of a nine year Navy career were spent training new recruits.
I'm a Areas Sales Manager for Bay Engineers Supplies. Gordon Tietjens is my boss. I love spending time with my wife and son. Then taking photos and making CrossFit videos.
They all do, but I get the biggest kick from the members straight out of intro that do something they never thought they could do for the first time
Muscle up and strict HSPU.... Both still goats though.
Above, plus all squats and O lifts
Regionals Event 2
30 Hang Cleans 100/60kg (power or squat)
