Spring Clean participants headed out to Bethells Beach yesterday for the second team challenge. Kettlebell swings, high pulls, jerks and carries, burpees, pushups, squats and shuttle sprints are a little harder to do in the thick iron sand of the West Coast!
The final event was a relay sand dune sprint, followed by handstand pushups anyhow (some inventive assistance was witnessed there!). Pictured is Marie hitting the crest of the dune at full speed, tailed by Sarah and Jo G. After 5 events, it was a tie between Team BLSK and Team Rockstar, with Team Chaos close behind.
Amazing teamwork as always guys, and gutsy efforts from everyone. Your lack of fear on the sand dune descent sticks in my mind the most.
Workout
H.Power Sn./H.Sn./Snatch:1 rep of each on the minute for 10 mins @ 50-60% of 1 RM snatch
Then:
3 power snatch 50/35kg
6 pushups
9 squats
AMRAP in 7 mins
Don't forget to enter the Birkenhead Games if you are keen to have fun, challenge yourself and meet other like minded people. Last day to enter is today!

I hate to quibble, but the sand on the West Coast beaches is actually titanomagnetite, not iron.

titanomagnetite sounds WAY cooler than iron anyways, so quibble accepted!
